Acanthus ilicifolius (common names Holly-leaved acanthus, Sea Holly, and Holy Mangrove) is a species of plant in the genus Acanthus, native to India and Sri Lanka.
It is a small shrub growing along lakes and marshes and sea shores.
It is used as medicine in asthma and rheumatism.[1]
